Barn Day!

Once a year we hold a 'Barn Day' where we invite co-workers and friends to stop by and see our horses. We also give pony rides to kids (of all ages). This year the hounds were just as big of a draw.



Finn had guests too!

Annora often lies down next to Finn. I think she would like to pile on top of him, but he gets up when she tries that.

Notice how they take of most of the floor space in the family room, it's more fun when they do this in the kitchen as you are trying to cook!

The Daily Puppy profile

Annora is Famous! She was selected to be today's profile on the Daily Puppy.

Annora, Finn and the Kong!

This morning I needed a distraction while I got ready for work, so I filled a Kong with puppy kibble, and gave it to Finn and Annora. Finn knows how to work a Kong, but Annora has never seen one before.

She very quickly took it over.

There is something magical about early mornings, especially with dogs to run and play with.


They are both quite alert, since during the night all sorts of intruders have been through the yard. We must be vigilant!





This is the lovely time, when puppies are still sleepy and sweet, before they turn into demon spawn ankle biters..

Note Annora now comes up to Finn's chest. We had our second set of shots, and a weigh in. 39 pounds, and 13 weeks old tomorrow.

Happy Howloween!

I planned costumes for Finn and Annora, but they spent most of the day playing outside, so they weren't much enthused about Halloween this year.

Butterfly Annora would rather nap that go out trick or treating.


Finn was a scary wolf spider this year, but he too was a bit too tired to have fun.

We took Finn and Annora to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
Finn and Bill walked with the Queen, while Annora and I stayed at the sign of the Royal Dogs.

We had a lovely time, and had a hard time leaving. Everyone was so delighted to see Irish Wolfhound!
